Zhenming Guo porträtiert in poetischem Stil eine Gruppe von chinesischen Künstler*innen und Aussteiger*innen um den Dichter Dekuang Zeng. In einem stillgelegten Industrieort verhallen ihre großen Widerstandsgesten gemeinsam mit ihrer Melancholie und ihren derben Sprüchen – nicht jedoch im Kino. / Zhenming Guo portrays a group of Chinese artists and outsiders around the poet Dekuang Zeng. In a decommissioned industrial town, their gestures of resistance fade away with their melancholy and crude jokes – but not within the realms of cinema.
